Cambot! Tom Servo! Crooooow!
Wait, didn't I already use that joke..?
Just because I'm curious and way too farkin' lazy to look at every profile; let's find out the basics about each other. I asked this a few years ago, but a lot of time has passed, and the membership has changed since then.
Who are you, why are you, what are you, where are you, and umm.. what would you do for a Klondike Bar®? Add any information you feel we might benefit from.
I'll start:
Adam
Because no one else could be.
Sapien Lupus Sapien - M
30 minutes north of Detroit, MI
I would trade affection for chocolatey-ice cream goodness. So far it's only amounted to snogging, but I'm open. ;o)
Speaking of open, I pretty much have no filter or boundries with regard to the subjects I'll discuss so, if there's anything you want to know, just ask.
Enough about me; let's find out about you.

Mon, January 22, 2007 - 12:34 PMI will say more later, but for now...
My name is Isaac, I'm a fine artist, thinker, writer semiotics enthusiast...and other things.
I want to build my own steam engine, and after that a giant mechanical spider with which to crush all those who oppose my will.
good day -

You've been watching Wild Wild West once to often, me thinks. -

Re: Robot Roll Call..
Sun, January 28, 2007 - 7:48 PMYeah I can see how it would be easy for non inventive folks to instantly assume that I am like they are, yet one more mere mindless consumer of media incapable of any original thought of my own....unfortunatly I have wanted a giant mechanical spider for years. Actually it is my second choice, my first choice was a giant airborne mechanical Vampyromorphida...but I figured no one would know what that was.

Enlighten us then.
(I will ignore your less than subtle jab for now.) -
-
Re: Robot Roll Call..
Wed, January 31, 2007 - 1:05 PMI think I might be allowed to be a little ridiculous once in a while, what do you think?
As for the jab it's a composite result of my own carelessness, and the abject exhaustion I experience every time someone thinks they have got me pegged so well that they have no personal obligation to explore any further, and that is not necessarily you, though you caught the brunt of it (not in it's entirety) and I apologize for that.
the Vampyromorphida better known as the "Vampire Squid From Hell" is an exotic cephalopod (see wikipedia entry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_squid ).
Other than that I suppose if you feel the need to classify me I am a wee bit steampunk, although I only know this because I have been told now like five times, which I find odd, since I have sort of just been doing my thing for a while now.
if you want to explore the amazing world of steampunk look here ccgi.firewyre.force9.co.uk/brassgoggles/
I don't know how it happened to be honest, When I was busy purchasing antique clothing and building steam engines, and going sailing I didn't think it made me a member of some subculture.
operantly at least in part I am classifiable, but please don;t limit the thing to a bad will smith film and imply that I am out copying it, thats just annoying, for God sake I spent two years of my life actually living by gaslight, and grew up helping my father do things like design and construct three of the houses we lived in by hand electrical, plumbing generator soil tests and all. I also make my own sketch books stretch my own canvas, grind my own pigments, make my own dyes, work with over 50 mediums.
It isn't exactly fair to say I have just watched the wild wild west too many times, because I want a giant mechanical spider, when I could probably design and build one with the proper resources.
thats all really. -

Re: Robot Roll Call..
Wed, January 31, 2007 - 1:12 PMwhile were at it, how about grating fresh truffle and a cave aged gruyere onto a fast food hamburger , or a pepperoni pizza? I bet that belongs to some sub genre of cooking, but I don't know of one and for now it's my thing, I discovered it on my own, just like the hand blown Kline bottle full of bootlegged absinthe from the vald de travers area of Switzerland I was drinking out of in 1990 before anyone had even heard of it.
My apartment is filled with strange and wonderful things no one here has ever heard of, so stick me in a box if you can, but I won't be there for long, so trust me it's a waste of time, and you don't want to waste your energy when you need it to keep up with me :) -

Never mistake my glibness for pigeon-holing. It leads to more sore toes than it's worth. ;o)
Thank you for taking the time to answer so completely. Now we know your weaknesses! Mwahaha!! -

I'm not sure. My mother was a giant sea turtle; I hatched on a beach with many of my brethren, never knowing her identity. For the full story, read my semi-random poetry at:
